Sophie is a dual-credentialed Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and Registered Dietitian (RD). She holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and a bachelor’s degree in Dietetics and Human Nutrition. Sophie is a member of the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors, the College of Health & Care Professionals of British Columbia, and Dietitians of Canada.
With over ten years of experience working in multidisciplinary mental health teams, Sophie is also a trained EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) clinician. Her practice focuses on the intersection of mental health, anxiety, depression, nutrition, and exercise, with a specialization in eating disorders, trauma, and body image healing.
Her work combines evidence-based psychotherapeutic modalities such as EMDR, somatic work, psychodynamic therapy, and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) and a client-centred framework. Using an integrative, trauma-informed approach. She is also experienced with nutrition therapy, all within a weight-inclusive approach, supporting individuals in navigating complex relationships with food, emotions, and the body.
As a mother of two, Sophie offers a supportive and collaborative space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. Whether working with individuals, couples or families, her approach centers on building trust, fostering safety, and strengthening a sense of connection. Her services are offered both in English and French.
