Catalyst Mind Center Is A Place Where We Believe And Encourage Thinking Out The Box.
Our Quest Youth programs are for curious children, where they can get together with their peers and learn and explore more in depth the topics of their interest, and accelerate their learning in an exciting and fun way. Our center nurtures a development-oriented attitude by providing interactive, projects-based, and stimulating learning experiences.
Past Camps
Marine Biology Summer Camp
July 22nd - 26th. 9 AM - 12 PM
Delve into the wonders of marine life from the sandy shores to the depths of the sea with our engaging program. Over five enriching days, students will explore the diverse ecosystems of the beach and beyond, gaining insight into the interconnectedness of life in the marine. Our journey will unveil the beauty and complexity of marine biology. Join us as we embark on an educational adventure to discover, learn, and protect the rich biodiversity of our coastal environments.

Registration Information:
- 9 am to 12 pm, 5 day camp, July 22-26. = $449.25 + GST
Daily Outline:
Day 1: Introduction to marine ecosystems· Beach exploration and sample collection
*Selection of marine organism for presentation
Day 2: Group discussion on marine importance. Learning about marine adaptations
*Microscopic activity exploration
Day 3: Classroom debate on conservation strategies. Virtual tour of marine habitats worldwide
*Examination of marine specimens
Day 4: Research and creation of marine species profiles.
*Marine life bingo for interactive learning
Day 5: Analysis of marine conservation case studies. Project presentations on water pollution alleviation
*Closing ceremony with certificates and commitments to marine protection

Catalyze Your Mind 101
July 22nd - 26th. 1 PM - 3 PM
This is an introductory class for future scholars involving fun and interactive group activities. It will introduce them to different aspects of critical thinking- in every day discourse, in a school setting- between friends, and in teamwork which will empower them in their future academics and career throughout their life. We will learn about the different styles of communication and the purpose of each. We will then examine internal biases and develop our self-awareness. This is a foundational course for Level 2 in the Fall term.

Daily Outline:
Day 1: Critical Thinking for Optimum Team-building and Communication.
*What is critical thinking and how does it affect team building and communications? How to make laws that stick?
Day 2: The Elements of Critical Thinking and their Application
*Individual versus Group Thinking- Beneficial Aspects. How to think to win friends and influence decisions.
Day 3: Conversation: Different Styles and Purposes
*When and how to have what conversation with whom? How to win debates with style?
Day 4: Problem Solving and Biases Recognition
*As a social-detective, you solve different scenarios. How to approach problems and find solutions that work?
Day 5: Self-Awareness – Practice and Implementation
*Boosting your strengths and mastering critical thinking. How to use and grow your superpowers!

Electronics & Circuits 101
Dive into the exciting world of electronics! This hands-on camp introduces youth to the fundamentals of electricity and circuit design through engaging, interactive activities. Participants will learn foundational concepts through fun, practical exercises and understand how circuits work together with creative, hands-on projects. They will also learn to develop problem-solving skills while analyzing and constructing circuits, gain insight into input/output systems and how they interact with circuits in real-world applications, and use your newfound skills to design and build something that inspires you!
Join us for a week of discovery, creativity, and innovation as you put your learning into action!
Daily Outline:
Day 1: Introduction to Electricity and Circuits, Hands-On Fun activity & Building.
Day 2: Understanding Series and Parallel Circuits, Hands-On Fun activity& Building.
Day 3: “Circuit Analysis Intro” Hands-On Fun Activity & Building.
Day 4: I/O Sensors and Processing, Hands- On Fun & Building.
Optional Day 5: “Build” What Interests You Most!!! Put Your Learning into Practice!!!
Options:
- 9 to 3 PM, 4 days camp, March 25th to 28th= $599
- 9 to 3 PM, 5th Day (Optional), March 29th= $149
