Dr. Gillian Smith PhD, CCC, CCC-S

Gillian is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and Canadian Certified Counsellor Supervisor (CCC-S) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). She has also served as President Elect, President, and Past President of the Counsellor Educators and Supervisors Chapter (CES Chapter) and is currently the Director of Counsellor Education with CCPA. She has a PhD in Curriculum Theory and Philosophy of Education, and a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology and over 28 years of experience in therapeutic settings, such as elementary and secondary school counselling, counsellor clinical supervision, and counsellor education at the graduate level. She works with all ages from children and youth to adults.

Gillian believes in creating a non-judgemental and accepting space for you to feel supported in the healing process and take control of your mental health. She will assist you with the identification of a starting point and work collaboratively with you to set the course for therapy and generate the goals you would like to achieve. There may also be stumbling blocks to be discovered along the way that are causing you difficulty and unpacking these old emotions will help reduce the emotive stronghold over you and help you gain insight and improvement.

Finally, you determine the next chapter in your life, how you want to live life with meaningful purpose and according to your core values.
